Methanol, also known as methyl alcohol, wood alcohol, wood naphtha or wood spirits, is a chemical with the formula CH3OH (often abbreviated MeOH). Methanol acquired the name "wood alcohol" because it was once produced chiefly as a byproduct of the destructive distillation of wood. Modern methanol is produced in a catalytic industrial process directly from carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen.  The boiling point of methanol is 64.7 °C.

Applications

Methanol used for biodiesel production guidelines - typical usage rates

• 20 Litre's of Methanol will produce between 80 - 120 Litres of Biodiesel.
• 200 Litre's of Methanol will produce between 800 - 1200 Litres of Biodiesel.
• 1000 Litre's of Methanol will produce between 4800 - 5200 Litres of Biodiesel.

Care must be taken with this product as it is a highly flammable product.

Suitable for Biodiesel applications.  This methanol is of the virgin grade material and has a minimum 99.85% purity which is essential for biodiesel applications.

Carriage to a UK Mainland address and VAT is already included in the price.  Some types of chemicals are classified as hazardous and as such will be sent on a overnight carrier.  A signature will be required on delivery.  Once your order has been placed and the product has been shipped, you will be sent an email and text message with the tracking information included which will allow you to track the item and adjust if required.
