SWIMMING POOL CHLORINE

Chemiphase pool chlorine range refers to a collection of products used to sanitise and disinfect swimming pool water by maintaining an appropriate level of free chlorine. Chlorine is a widely used chemical in pool water treatment due to its effectiveness in killing bacteria, viruses, and algae, helping to keep the water safe and clear.

Chemiphase Chlorine Range
  • Chlorine Tablets: These are slow-dissolving tablets or sticks containing stabilized chlorine compounds, such as trichloro-s-triazinetrione or dichloro-s-triazinetrione. They are placed in a floating dispenser, skimmer, or automatic chlorinator to release chlorine into the pool water gradually.
  • Chlorine Granules: Fast-dissolving chlorine granules are used for regular pool shock treatments or for quick adjustments of chlorine levels.
  • Liquid Chlorine: Liquid sodium hypochlorite solutions are another option for maintaining pool chlorine levels. They are usually poured directly into the pool water.
  • Multi-Functional Chlorine Products: Some products combine chlorine with other pool chemicals, such as stabilizers (cyanuric acid) or algaecides, providing multiple benefits in a single treatment.
  • Shock Treatments: Superchlorinating or shock treatments involve using high doses of chlorine to rapidly increase the chlorine level and effectively sanitize the pool water. Shock treatments are typically used to deal with high bather loads, algae outbreaks, or other water quality issues.
  • Non-Chlorine Shock: For pool owners who prefer alternatives to traditional chlorine shock treatments, non-chlorine shock products like potassium peroxymonosulfate or MPS can also be used to oxidize and sanitize pool water.

It's essential to maintain proper chlorine levels in the pool to ensure the water is safe for swimmers and free from harmful bacteria and contaminants. Pool chlorine products should be used according to the Chemiphase instructions and added in the recommended amounts to avoid over-chlorination or under-chlorination.

Additionally, pool water should be regularly tested for chlorine levels, pH, and other water chemistry parameters to ensure proper pool maintenance. Proper pool circulation and filtration are also essential for effective chlorine distribution and water clarity. When handling pool chemicals, always follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate protective gear, and store them in a secure and well-ventilated location, out of reach of children and pets.
