 How it works:

Bio-Katz products use live Bacterial Cultures and their Free Enzymes to Effectively Digest organic Waste & Odours.  Bacteria are living uni-cellular micro-organisms and they are present throughout our environment.  In our Bio-Katz products we have formulated several bacteria strains to essentially degrade waste, control odours and remove specific unwanted chemicals. In essence the bacteria species are very effective decomposing and digesting organic material.  All bacteria must eat to stay alive. So bacteria produce Enzymes which break down organic wastes into a liquid form that then can be absorbed by our bacteria. Subsequently the bacteria convert the absorbed liquids into carbon dioxide and water which are harmless to our environment. Enzymes are actually catalysts which initiate the chemical processes involved in digestion.

 Contra to popular misconception neither bacteria nor their enzyme secretions are miniature carnivorous insects, chewing up waste material.
