DERV Control 6000 is a fuel biocide for Diesel & Gas Oil's where bacterial growth is a problem

DERV Control 6000 is to be used where diesel fuel has become contaminated with bacteria which generally happens in storage tanks, fuel tanks, bilges and fuel distribution systems.  The cause of bacterial growth is usually water ingress which can happen when tanks are not sealed correctly or have holes in them etc.  The water will provide an excellent growing site for bacteria which use the fuel as a feedsource and multiply and form deposist which is what damages your fuel and causes blockages in your fuel pipes and filters.

• Blocked fuel lines & filters
• Increased filter intervals
• Smell coming from the fuel storage tanks
• Decreasing fuel performance which will be seen as MPG drops

Chemiphase Solution to the Problem - DERV Control 6000

• DERV Control 6000 is a specifically selected biocide which will destroy all microbial growth in the fuel storage tanks within 24 hours of application.

• A dilution rate of 500ppm will be sufficient to treat severe contamination.  This equates to 1/2 litre of DERV Control per 1000 Litres of Fuel.

• For general maintenance applications where bacterial growth is present but not actively growing a treatment rate of 250ppm will be sufficient to control the levels.  This equates to 1/4 litre of DERV Control 6000 per 1000 Litres of fuel.

• Regular fuel filter changes will still be required to remove the dead bacterial growth mass.

Application of DERV Control 6000

DERV Control 2600 is usually shot dosed to the system either manually or via a dosing equipment to achieve the required levels for a period of 5-6 hours.  Dosing levels are dependent upon system volume and make-up rates but a general rule of thumb is 1/2 litre per 1000 Litres of fuel for heavy bacterial growth and 1/4 litre per 1000 litres for continuous dosing.  To use simply drain as much water from the fuel as possible.  Once this has been completed drain the tank as low as possible of fuel and shot dose DERV Control 6000 to the tank at the required dosage level.  Refill the tank as normal.  With 48 hours the bacteria will be neutralised and you may experience increased filter contamination as the mass of the bacteria is flushed from the system.  Continue changing filters as required.  If bacterial growth persists continue dosing DERV Control 6000 on a regular basisfor control.

DERV Control 2600 is a concentrated liquid biocide containing THPS (tetrakish-hydroxymethyl phosphonium salt, bio-enhancer a fully approved environmental surfactant and a corrosion inhibitor.  DERV Control 2600 is a non oxidising, multi-purpose, fast acting liquid biocide.  DERV Control 2600 has broad activity against a wide range of bacteria and fungal microbiological (MB) species. Extremely effective against Sulphate Reducing Bacteria (SRB).  DERV Control 2600 will control the growth of both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria in all systems.  DERV Control 2600 is also effective in both acid and alkaline conditions.
