CASE HISTORY

SITE: Queenshead Gas Works, Queenshead, Handsworth,  Birmingham.

Contract

Main contractor is required to remove the Gasometer from site.  Chemiphase has been approved by British Gas/Transco to remove all waste water and sludge from Gasometer which has been calculated as: 800 tonnes of waste water & 250 tonnes of sludges.

All wastewater to be treated to meet Transco, Environmental Agencies and Severn Trent consent limits. Project commenced 26th November 1999 and 66% of the wastewater has been removed, treated and discharged.  We are currently dewatering the sludge with our equipment.  All of the sludges have been dried due to our unique process and supplied to an approved waste tip in Wrexham.
We have now been approved for 6 more Gas Projects owned by Transco.

NOW COMPLETED: CAMBRIDGE, BURNLEY, BLACKBURN, ELLESMERE PORT & PRESTON.
